From Burnout to Balance
Hi, I'm Dawn – and yes, that's really my name, which makes my approach to helping others find their new beginnings feel even more meant to be.
As a registered nurse, care manager, and healthcare leader, I've spent my career helping others navigate life's most challenging moments. I've worked directly with patients and families, managed complex cases, and understood healthcare systems from every angle. I thought I had it all figured out.
It’s Personal
The demands of caregiving became deeply personal when my mother (^ that’s us) came to live with us, requiring total 24/7 care until her passing. As her primary caregiver, I coordinated with multiple doctors, managed procedures and surgeries, navigated cancer treatments, and worked with home care, hospice, and palliative care teams; all while helping her maintain dignity in her wheelchair-dependent life and working full-time.
Now I care for my 80 year old aunt, who lives just five minutes away. She's on oxygen 24/7 and needs assistance with tasks both inside and outside her home. Once again, I find myself coordinating complex medical care, managing appointments, and being the bridge between family and healthcare systems.
This dual experience; professional combined with the raw exhausting reality of family caregiving, led me to a place I knew too well professionally but had never experienced personally: complete burnout. I understood caregiver fatigue from both sides now.
Doing different
That's when I discovered something profound – the inner work I'd always been drawn to wasn't just nice-to-have self-care. It was essential medicine for healing from the inside out. Through my own journey back to balance, I realized I could help other caregivers find their way back to themselves without abandoning their calling to serve.
Today, I blend my clinical expertise with transformational coaching and functional nutrition. My professional and personal caregiving experience gives me unique insight into how burnout affects the whole person – body, mind, and spirit.
Progress not perfection
Here's what makes my approach different: I'm not teaching this work from some mythical mountaintop of perfect balance. I'm living it, learning it, and sometimes struggling with it – just like you.
Some days I nail the boundary-setting and self-care. Other days I slip back into old patterns. The difference now is that I have tools, awareness, and self-compassion for the journey.
I believe the most authentic guides are those still walking the path. When we work together, you're getting someone who understands the real, messy, beautiful work of transformation and is committed to walking alongside you.

We’ll begin with Discovery of who you are, what you need, and what’s been quietly calling for your attention. From there, we move into Alignment bringing your thoughts, habits, and energy into harmony. This creates the space for true Wellness to emerge, not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and energetically. And finally, we focus on Nourishment, not only of the body, but of the mind and spirit through intentional rituals, supportive guidance, and sacred self-care.
